Often the first encounter with history is learning about family history. But family records are an important source for a better understanding of larger events in the past. Our presenters will speak about how family records can inform history, and what happens to family history when it becomes public history.Moderator — TBA

Our presenters talk about the importance of fostering more meaningful connections between what students are learning in the classroom with the history that is represented to them outside of it.Moderator — TBA

Canada’s History is one of many stories. When do stories become history? These presenters will discuss their work in exploring diverse histories, and different perspectives and finding a place and context for them within the traditional national narrative.Moderator — TBA
