Canadian Historical GIS Partnership Development project

Published on January 4, 2016

We are happy to finally announce that our group has been successful in obtaining a SSHRC-funded partnership development grant to begin the task of building a Historical GIS Network in Canada. Over the next two years we will be researching and writing on the topic of HGIS, while moving forward the building of a Canadian community of HGIS individual and institutional partners. Open conferences will be held in person and online in June 2016 and summer 2017 to share progress with those interested.
