Canadians and their pasts
Published on February 24, 2014
A few years ago, the Association for Canadian Studies collaborated to a project called Canadians and their pasts. Headed by Jocelyn Letourneau, our current president, and an impressive list of leading Canadian thinkers and scholars, the project sought to understand the role of the past in Canadians' lives.
This ground-breaking project has resulted in the recent publication of an anthology titled Canadians and their Pasts, published with University of Toronto Press.
We thus take this opportunity to congratulate Margaret Conrad, Kadriye Ercikan, Gerald Friesen, Jocelyn Letourneau, Delphin Muise, David Northrup and Peter Seixas for publishing this great book, and encourage everyone to read it!
And more good news: Jocelyn Letourneau has just published Je me souviens? Le passé du Québec dans la conscience de la jeunesse with Éditions Fides, based on 10 years of research and over 3,500 responses.
