The Centre interuniversitaite d’études québécoises (CIEQ), the Morrin Centre and the The Quebec English-Speaking Communities Research Network (QUESCREN) have the pleasure of inviting you to an international colloquium entitled : « Ambiguous Encounters : Anglophones and Francophones Relations in Quebec – From the Conquest to the Quiet Revolution », to be held on March 27-28, 2015 at the Morrin Center located in Old Quebec (44 Chaussée des Écossais, Québec City).
The colloquium will provide the opportunity to take stock of on-going research about anglophone and francophone relations in Quebec, and to generate discussions about possible new approaches to these issues. The colloquium will thus be focussed on presenting results of the most recent search to specialists and general public, and on bringing together specialists from Quebec, Ontario, Newfoundland, British Columbia, France and Great Britain, covering six different fields of research and exploring the topic at hand from various angles. The colloquium’s preliminary program is available at: http://rencontresambigues2015.cieq.ca.
The colloquium is open to professors, researchers, students and members of the general public for a registration fee of $30 (CAN) - $10 for students. We ask that you register on-line at http://www.morrin.org/evenements/colloque-international-des-rencontres-ambigues-2/.
We would appreciate if you could broadcast this invitation through your networks and we hope to see you all on March 27-28.
