Speak Easy – Fake New

is pleased to invite you to a “Speak Easy on Fake News”, taking place at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) on Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The event will be held at Place de la Cité, 550 boulevard de la Cité in Gatineau, Room 203.
The event features will explore how libraries and archives can engage in the battle against fake news and misinformation.
The “Speak Easy” will bring together three speakers from LAC’s staff who have a particular interest in the topic. The three panellists will be: Jennifer Anderson, archivist, author, and historian; Alain Roy, policy advisor and historian; and Luc Ainsley, manager of Special Collections & Support to Published, Published Heritage, and doctoral student at l’École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP).
Presentations will be in English and French. A question and answer period will follow the presentations.
