Canadian Memory of the World Register
The Canadian Commission for UNESCO, which implements the Memory of the World program in Canada, is pleased to invite you to a consultative meeting to discuss the creation of a Canadian Memory of the World Register. The meeting will take place on March 30th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Canada Council for the Arts, 150 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
The Canada Memory of the World Register aims to creating a greater awareness of Canada's documentary heritage by recognizing its most significant documents.
Museums, libraries and archives from all provinces and territories will be invited to submit items of national significance.
Please join us for the meeting that will allow us to present the UNESCO Memory of the World program, its international register and the possibility to create a Canadian Memory of the World Register. An agenda and relevant documents will follow.
We would greatly appreciate if you could confirm your attendance to Marie-Tonine Moreau at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 11th, 2016.
For the guests that live outside Ottawa, please inform Marie-Tonine that you will be travelling. She will help you with your transportation and accommodation.
Looking forward to welcoming you on March 30th!
