The latest in the Wallot-Sylvestre Seminar series is now available online
The latest Wallot-Sylvestre seminar took place on October 7, 2015 with guest speaker Robert Darnton, Carl H. Pforzheimer Professor and University Librarian Emeritus, Harvard University. In his presentation<http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/news/videos/Pages/wallot-sylvestre-robert-darnton.aspx>, “Libraries, Books, and the Digital Future” (http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/news/videos/Pages/wallot-sylvestre-robert-darnton.aspx), Mr. Darnton discussed how the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), a distributed network of digitized collections from research libraries across the U.S., works to make American cultural heritage available to all, free of charge, through the internet.
The next speaker in the Wallot-Sylvestre Seminar series will be Caroline Brazier, Chief Librarian at the British Library. The event will take place on May 2, 2016.

Library and Archives Canada is happy to present The Wallot-Sylvestre Seminars, a lecture series focused on informing and disseminating strategic thinking in the domains of information science, archival science, and history among others. Lecturers are invited by Library and Archives Canada from the academic, public and private sectors, and include scholars and practitioners. Once a seminar has been competed, any material or presentations provided by the speaker will be made available online for your convenience.
